Agricultural conveyor belt manufacturing

Agricultural conveyor belt manufacturing

Dagmita manufactures custom conveyor belts for agricultural products. Belts equipped with transverse cleats and corrugated sidewalls help convey carrots, potatoes, beetroots and other vegetables more reliably on inclined conveyors, reducing product sliding, falling and mechanical damage.

Why do vegetables slide on inclined conveyors?

Round, irregular or soil-covered vegetables may not generate enough grip on a smooth belt. During inclined conveying, products can roll backwards, move sideways or fall from the conveyor, leading to crop damage, housekeeping problems and line interruptions.

How do cleats and corrugated sidewalls work?

Transverse cleats divide the belt into conveying sections and help support the product on an incline. Flexible corrugated sidewalls form raised edges that help keep products within the belt. Cleat height, pitch and sidewall dimensions are selected for the actual product and conveyor.

Which products can be handled?

·        carrots, potatoes and beetroots;

·        onions, turnips and other root vegetables;

·        other loose or individually handled agricultural products when technically approved for the application.

What information is needed for belt selection?

·        belt width, length and splice type;

·        conveyor incline and operating direction;

·        product type, size and condition;

·        capacity, load and belt speed;

·        required cleat and sidewall height;

·        temperature, moisture and cleaning requirements.

Why choose Dagmita?

Dagmita combines belt material supply with in-house manufacturing and application adaptation. The solution is based on the customer’s actual conveying task, not only on nominal belt dimensions.
